Ranking The Catchers In Fantasy

The catchers position rankings for 2013 fantasy baseball has not changed dramatically from the last rankings. The original ranks that were based on projections from a full season remains nearly identical to this year's rankings. If a player has improved or been significantly demoted in the ranks, a tag update is posted to alert 2013 fantasy baseball fans. If your favorite catcher had been drastically moved to the second half of rankings, this is done accordingly and an update is posted immediately.

Catcher rankings have been previously ignored or overlooked by fantasy baseball fans because the position lacks little entertainment value in terms of analysis. This year’s 2013 fantasy baseball is no different. 2013 catcher rankings has Buster Posey of SF ranking number one. Posey has two world series mementoes on his finger, that is a ring on each hand. He was once rookie of the year and comeback player of the year, and one time most valuable player, obviously making him one to look for in the drafts. Recommended for a late pick on your first round or early pick in your second rounds.

Ranking number two is Carlos Santana of CLE, who has high walk rates and is marked with last year's injuries. But he is healed and ready for this year's season and does well for himself at second rank, a good pick in the drafting if you can't get Posey on your team.

Ranking third is Joe Mauer of MIN, also suffered some injury in recent years and had to fight upward to gain his foothold in the third rank. Maintains a high hit average and OBP is out of this world, clearing the way for backstops. His performance and ranking has declined since 2009, considered his prime years, but he remains a formidable force on the diamond.
